THE HOLLY BUSH, CRADLEY HEATH

A rainy night in Cradley Heath... I ran 10 minutes of material out in front of a chaotic crowd of local comedians - much of it new, and got an encouraging response and good feedback. A long journey, but with comedy company, so all worthwhile.

THE WILD BOAR, WARWICK

What a night! MCing the first stand-up comedy night at The Wild Boar, Warwick. Great venue, great hosts and a brilliant audience were entertained by seven fantastic acts. A night to remember.

MUSEUM OF COMEDY, LONDON

A comedy of errors! A truncated set, a flat showing, and objectively not my finest five minutes. Plenty of lessons in there, though, and a reminder that bad gigs are part of the deal. Less of a mic‑drop moment and more of a pin‑drop moment. You get them, so I’m told, and you move on.

MILLSY'S, COVENTRY

The second stand-up comedy night at The Gallery at Millsy's Cafe Bar. A drop in numbers didn't dampen the atmosphere and my second time MCing without any prepared material worked well, and an evening full of laughs was provided from some great acts.

THE ALBANY CLUB, COVENTRY 

A solid night of stand‑up at the Albany Club, even with the small audience. The room had a relaxed, intimate feel that made the set enjoyable to deliver. The laughs were there, though the material got a mixed and sometimes muted response. Early days, but another worthwhile gig and another notch on the mic stand.

COMEDY JAM, WORCESTER 

A great night at Comedy Jam in Worcester, with The Firefly’s warm room and Lin Smith hosting. The modest crowd made the set fun, and the laughs landed well throughout. I can feel the material tightening but still want to improve pacing and breathing space. Early days, but the trajectory feels right and the feedback from comics and audience was solid. All in all, a good gig and another step forward.

MILLSY'S, COVENTRY 

Millsy’s Café Bar hosted a packed comedy night upstairs at The Gallery, drawing more than 50 people for seven acts and me on MC duties. The crowd, performers and venue delivered a superb atmosphere with top‑tier hospitality. With clear demand for Coventry comedy, the night will be returning.

DAY 2 COMEDY, BANBURY 

Day 2 Comedy at the V Lounge was absolutely bouncing — a packed room with a lively crowd who were up for getting stuck in. Every bit sparked a reaction. Proper fun, high‑energy night.

BE AT ONE 

A cracking night at Bar at One in Birmingham, packed out with a crowd that was up for it from the first beat. The energy in the room never dipped, just rolled and rolled. One of those gigs where you walk off buzzing.

HAPPY MONDAYS 

Ran out a bit of new material at Happy Mondays in the Highbury Inn, Moseley. Small room, mostly comics, so every line felt like it was being judged in real time. Some bits landed, others definitely didn’t, but that’s the whole point of nights like that. Walked away with a clearer sense of what needs fixing and what’s worth keeping.

ROCK THE ATIC 

One of the hottest days of the summer turned Rock the Atic into a furnace at the Apothecary Tap in Banbury. The room was small, the crowd tight-knit, every laugh bouncing straight back at me. The heat made the whole set feel raw, loose, and wonderfully unfiltered. I walked off stage drenched, buzzing, and absolutely convinced the sweat counted as cardio.

SENT TO COMEDY 

I stepped into Beer Gonzo in Earlsdon for Sent to Comedy, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable gigs I’ve done. A genuinely brilliant crowd: warm, switched‑on, and completely up for it from the moment the night began. It was a different kind of setup this time, no microphone, just pure projection and presence, but the audience made it effortless. A strong mix of comedians who brought their own styles and rhythms. 

MORE HOME TURF COMEDY 

On Saturday 4th July, I performed at the Triumph Brewhouse to a large, welcoming crowd. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the audience stayed engaged throughout the night. I ran my material alongside a solid lineup of comedians, and the room responded well, making it an enjoyable gig in a great venue.

ODDLY FUNNY 

On Thursday 2nd July, I gigged at The Oddly Funny Comedy Club at the Oddfellows Arms in Astwood Bank. It was a cracking night, a properly engaged crowd, warm atmosphere, and a lineup stacked with sharp, funny acts. I ran my material to a room that was switched on from the start, and the energy in the place made the whole night feel electric. A genuinely great gig with great comedians and an audience that made performing an absolute pleasure. 

COVENTRY COMEDY 

On Monday 15th June I worked some new material to a small  audience at The Albany Theatre's open mic night in Coventry. 

COMEDY SHOWCASE

On Thursday 11th June I took to the stage as the final act to celebrate emerging comic talent in the West Midlands. Six very different acts performed to a great crowd in Birmingham.
